The event

This week Crexendo showcased at the Western Vet Conference in Las Vegas February 17th – February 20th. The decision to showcase at this event occurred due to earlier success at a smaller Vet Conference last year which let us know that we were in the right vertical market to promote Crexendo’s services.

Our Strategy

With this particular event we decided to play things a little differently as we knew this large show was bound to generate a lot of traffic. We wanted to maximize our space and number of people we could talk to. So, we angled the table that was displaying the phones so as to create more open space for people to stand in. My colleague, Kurt, was very keen to the possibilities this show could bring to us and wanted to make sure we were talking to the right people—decision makers or those who could get us in front of the decision makers.

photo 2 Crexendo at the Western Vet Conference 2013He started off standing in the middle isle in front of the booth and would ask attendees “Do you have your own practice?” This quick question led us to a lot of decision makers who we were able to draw them in to the booth to discuss either how their business can save money with our hosted phone system and ask them about their website and if they were getting any leads from it.

Green with [Constructive] Envy

It was funny to hear about some of the opportunities since we were in such a small space. We were all very competitive and energetic on getting the most leads we could. During one time it was Kurt and I in the booth and Kurt was talking with a customer and one guy quickly took the 15 phone example pricing sheet and walked away. I saw this guy leave the booth and walk around the corner as we both were busy. I ran after him down the corner aisle and brought the guy back to our booth to capture that lead and get more info on his business as well as demonstrate our phones.

He was listening and asking the right questions as well as ready to make that purchase decision right then and there. His words on our telecom proposal?: “It’s a no-brainer!” I EchoSigned the proposal to his email the next morning and withinin 5 minutes the order was completed and booked!

A Happy Ending to a Fantastic Week

We had the President & VP of the Western Conference Association come up to our booth and tell us “What are you guys doing? I’ve tried to talk to you guys 3 times earlier but you have been so busy.” We did our presentation of Crexendo’s services and now the President of the conference (who owns 14 hospitals currently and is opening a new one in June) wants a proposal for his multiple businesses.

All week we had big smiles on the success we had during this last week on gaining new business and getting Crexendo’s name out there. This is the level of events, efforts and success we want to grow on for the rest of 2013!
